Short History Zanni is a character in the Commedia dell'Arte theatre of the 17th Century and his character was that of a comic servant. It is thought that his name was derived from Giovanni, a typical name of servants from that time that had emigrated to Venice in search of work from the valleys around Bergamo in Northern Italy. The blank masquerade mask is nearly 31cm long and is designed to be worn. It is 16cm wide, to fit around a face. The mask comes complete with two black ties glued to the inner surface of the mask. Each black tape tie is 38cm long. These masks are genuine blanks that would normally be decorated in Venice and then sold, but this gives you the opportunity to decorate it in your own style, to wear to a masquerade event and then keep as a great piece of art for your home.
