This striking masquerade mask is in red and gold with red feathers.  'Ciuffo' in Italian is referring to the feathers that are part of the design of this Venetian Mask.

The 'Mezza' in the name refers to 'half' and this masquerade mask has the right hand side with a background of royal red with a gold relief pattern on it and the left side is in gold with a gold relief pattern.  The centre of the mask below the feather base features a large crystal surrounded by smaller crystals.  The feathers radiate from the centre with soft red feathers features transitioning to the larger red feathers.  The feathers rise 250mm above the top of the mask base.

The edges of the face of the mask have been beautifully finished with gold braid and the inside has been painted white and you can see that the mask has a genuine paper mache base.
