This Venetian masquerade mask is in the historic 'Bauta' design and the reasons for its popularity in the 15th century are still valid for today! Back when masquerade masks were worn regularly in Venice, the Bauta mask became very popular as it allowed the wearer to speak, eat and drink while completely concealing their identity.
