A Venetian Masquerade Mask in the Bauta style and hand painted in Venice with an interpretation of Klimt's famous painting of Judith.

The inspiration for Klimt's work came from an ancient Jewish cannon which described how she rescued the Jewish nation from destruction by beheading Holofernes, an Assyrian General who was about to attack and destroy her city.  In this rendition, you can see Judith with her fingers in  Holofernes' hair.
